Gail teaches a Gentle Beginners Yoga for Low Back Challenges 60-minute class on Wednesdays for VYP and a weekly 45-minute Yoga Nidra Class on Sundays.
I personally have chronic back pain due to some disc issues, si joint dysfunction, scoliosis, and rotated scoliosis. I have taken yoga for scoliosis training and gentle yoga for low back care training to help me reduce my daily chronic pain. It is my hope for you, that this Gentle Yoga for Low Back Challenges also gives you relief.
Part of the equation of additionally reducing my daily chronic pain is to do a daily Yoga Nidra Meditation Practice.
When I took Veterans Yoga Project Mindful Resilience Training, I was in extreme pain, even in the chair yoga class.
One of the instructors observed my pain and suggested to me that I do one of VYP's Yoga Nidra practices, which was on the practice page of the website. Once in the evening after that training day, and again in the morning before coming to Day 2 of the training.
The pain I was experiencing melted away in such a manner, that I could sleep better at night, and feel relief during the day. My pain levels would typically be on a scale from 0-10, often in the ranges of 7, 8. After gentle yoga, often would be reduced to levels of 1 to 2. That to me is significant.
I was very excited to be added to the team teaching Yoga Nidra for VYP, as I think this is such a great additional tool for better sleep and lessening body pain. Students have told me that after the Yoga Nidra practice, their pain levels were at a level of 5-7, and after this specific meditation, lowered between 1 - 2.
Please join me and see if you can lessen your challenges through these wonderful yoga classes offered by Veterans Yoga Project. If not my class, please check out other classes too!
