Michael Hess is an experienced, patient and compassionate meditation teacher and a western yogi in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
Michael has been meditating for 25 years and has taught meditation and pranayama to practitioners at all levels of experience, including yoga and meditation teachers, private clients, Buddhist and secular groups, and corporate and government workshops in both the USA and overseas.
Michael has trained for many years in advanced meditation and pranayama methods, and has completed numerous retreats on the most profound practices of Tibetan Buddhism.
He has lived and studied in both India and Tibet, and recently completed a one-year solitary meditation retreat at Pangan Gonpa, a traditional Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the north Indian Himalayas.
Michael is an authorized instructor of The Relaxed Mind seven-step approach to learning meditation that forms the basis of the Discovering Mind meditation training program.
He is authorized by Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).
