2011 Financial Report for Yoga Alliance and Yoga Alliance Registry

Yoga Alliance® and YAplus posted $3.2 million of revenue in 2011. This represents a 37% increase over the $2.4 million generated in 2010. The combined organizations ended the year with a surplus of $1.6 million.

YAPlus, formerly known as YA+ Association d/b/a YA+, is a not-for-profit corporation incorporated in December 2011 under the laws of the State of Virginia. YAplus is the professional society for yoga teachers, schools and students.

The organizations report $2 million in total assets as of December 31, 2011, which includes $900 thousand in cash and short-term investments. The detailed 2011 financial statement is available on our website as a PDF.
