Felicia Mason was introduced to the physical aspects of yoga early in childhood through gymnastics, and later discovered the power of mind-body connectivity by practicing Hatha yoga at home. Those early experiences catalyzed a lifelong interest in all aspects of yoga.

Felicia's yoga journey brought her to the Hot Yoga and Massage Studio in Newport News, Va, where she connected with the Barkan Method of hot yoga. Through practicing regularly at the studio and apprenticing with instructor Edie Fischer, Felicia found she wanted to take her experience a step further and be able to teach and assist others on their yoga paths. As she explored various yoga lineages, and their spiritual and physical elements, she began learning more about Vinyasa yoga (flow yoga) from the Yax Brothers of Hot House Yoga in Newport. Felicia quickly absorbed the concepts of this style, and in the summer of 2008, she completed her Certified Yoga Teacher (200-hour level) Training through Rolf Gates in the Berkshires, Mass. and also earned her prenatal yoga certification from Body Balance in Williamsburg, Va. Upon completing her training programs, she taught consistently at a yoga studio in Virginia.

After moving to Tennessee in 2010, Felicia completed the Connected Warriors Teacher Training program with Kathy O'Brien Rogers. Yoga instructors certified through the Connected Warriors program volunteer to teach free, trauma-sensitive yoga classes to veterans and their families. Felicia is currently the Ambassador for the Connected Warriors, Inc. in Virginia, the Regional Coordinator and Senior Teacher in Tennessee and Kentucky.

In 2013, Felicia completed a 75-hour advanced studies program under Gillian St. Clair of Steadfast and True Yoga in Nashville, Tenn. and attended several workshops and continuing education programs in Virginia and Tennessee.  As she continues to grow and evolve her yoga practice, she embarked on a new course of study with Will Duprey in the spring of 2016. As she progresses toward a 300-hour certification in this method of yoga, she is also pursuing an 800-hour program of instruction in Traditional Yoga Studies inspired by Georg Feuerstein. Felicia is also under a continuous mentorship with Jennifer Campbell-Overbeeke in the Classical Hatha Methodolgy.

Felicia currently teaches Connected Warriors, Inc Trauma Conscious classes on Fort Campbell with the Warrior Transition Battalion and the Intensive Outpatient Unit. You can also find her subbing at Raja Hot Yoga in Clarksville, Tenn and offers private mentorships from her home studio. One of the things she loves when she comes to the mat is the feeling of freedom and peacefulness fostered through a yoga practice. She is an eternal student of yoga, always seeking to expand her knowledge and share it with whomever crosses her path.
